Not sure if I'm asking that right but I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources. I am now pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching simply because I realized I want to work with children and not in business. At a family dinner, my boyfriends uncle asked me what I majored in during college and I told him HR and he said "You can major in that??!!" as though I told him I majored in something silly or something he's never heard of. It really hurt me and it's been making me wonder if when I'm done with my MA, people are not going to hire me because I have a stupid degree. Let me know what you think. Thanks guys.

I think Human Resources is a good degree, people pretty much know that it falls under the Business umbrella and you can use a Business degree in almost every field.

No HR is not a stupid degree. You actually made a good choice, because now you will have 2 degrees that can be useful. I have heard from several different people in the business field that women who have HR jobs are very well respected and have good job security. When you become a teacher you will also have some very valuable skills that you learned form your first degree. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi, A degree in Human Resources might mean you have insights into the needs of jobs and people. Not a bad or stupid thing to have skills of that nature.
