So right now I'm an English major. Although I plan on taking some psych courses, I don't have research experience or anything like that, such as a minor. I'd eventually like to do something in the marketing/human resource field. Do you think that getting my MA/PhD in something like social psychology would be ideal or a waste of time? (MBA requires work experience.)

of course MBA requires work experience. It even requires a GMAT score. If that is what you want to go for, then you should go for it. But, i think the companies would prefer an MBA because these areas are more towards business. You could also try and get an entry level position in these departments (hey, you have a bachelors and that is a major requirement) and get some experience too. That helps.
